Spastic is a general term to associate a person with the cerebral palsy disorders found in the individual. 'Cerebral Palsy' is a group of disorders that can involve brain and nerve functions such as movement, learning, hearing, seeing and thinking. Cerebral palsy is caused by injuries or abnormalities of the brain. Most of these problems as the baby grows in the womb, but they can happen at any time during the first two years of child's life while the brain is still developing. There are different types of cerebral palsy disorders including spastic, dyskinetic, hypotonic and mixed.
